About

My name is Caterina Cedone
and I am an Italian Communication Designer specialising in publishing and graphic design. I am now working at the Milan-based newspaper Linkiesta as
a graphic and editorial designer.

I graduated with a Bachelor's (2019) and a Master's (2022) degree from the faculty of Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano. From April to July 2021 I did my curricular internship at the Design Studio Pitis e Associati, working in particular on the magazine Wired Italy and the development of coordinated image for the Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto under the direction of art director Massimo Pitis.
From April 2022 to September 2023, I worked as a Communication Designer at the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation in Milan.

Perhaps being born in a house full of books has influenced my great passion for publishing.

I also love illustrating, although in recent years it has become more of a support for graphic projects should the need arise.

I am passionate about art history, a discipline that has been very useful to me both in terms of a method of approaching visual artefacts but also in the search for authoritative graphic references for design.

The aspect of design that fascinates me most is the fact that, starting from the constraints, the target and the design requirements, it is more about 'finding' than 'creating'.
